Wednesday, July 10th at noon, at the Doubletree Hotel (Broad and Locust).
JOIN the Philadelphia Community Acccess Coalition July 10, 2002 at the Comcast Shareholder's Annual Meeting for a Press Conference and Rally. WHEN: Wednesday, July 10, Noon WHERE: Outside the Doubletree Hotel, Broad and Locust Sts. Join us as we tell Comcast why we are is opposed to their intended merger with AT&T! -merger debts will result in higher cable rates -more workers will lose their jobs -fewer gatekeepers with more control over programming - more $$$ for executives means more political clout for them, less for us - poor puble interest track record, especilly in the case of public access tv in Philadelphia Speakers will include: >Cheri Honkola of Kensington Welfare Rights Union >Alec Meltzer of Media Tank >Lauren Townsend of the Citizens for Consumer Justice >Pedro Rodriguez of Action Alliance Would you like to help out with the press conference/ rally?? PCAC is looking for VOLUNTEERS to distribute our customized "AT&T Comcast Monopoly Money" all over Philadelphia. Hundreds of dollars are waiting to picked up at the PCAC office. *Put them up in your office, home, neighborhood! *Give them to your favorite Comcast shareholder! *Pay your cable bill with them!
