Testimony of GEORGE MCCULLOUGH

Previous (DONNY MEANS) Index of All Testifiers Next

MR. MCCULLOUGH: My name is George McCullough, and I'm with the Philadelphia Community Access Coalition. I feel honored that I'm the last one to speak today.

I just wanted to thank everybody who came out today -- Bunnie Riedel, Tony Riddle, James Horwood, and Anne Sheehan. I especially want to thank Dina Mendrose (ph.), Gretchen Clausing for their hard work. I want to thank Michelle and Debbie and Andrew for the time that they put in here today. And I want to thank everybody in PCAC. I want to thank Ingia Coates (ph.), who wasn't able to be here today but I know had worked hard with you to help arrange these hearings.

I want to especially thank you for the concern that you have shown today, and the stamina that you certainly have shown here today, much more than some of our other Councilpeople, and it's greatly appreciated. And I also want to thank the staff back there who's been here all day long, and put in a nice long day.

Lastly, I just want to say that everybody down here that came today, I think we showed a lot of love, a lot of rage, and when you put love and rage together, you got people that aren't going to quit. And I just want to say we're going to see this done.

Thanks.

COUNCILMAN COHEN: Thank you, thank you.

(Applause.)

COUNCILMAN COHEN: So there will be a day of accounting in the future, whatever the accounting may show, I am not going to adjourn the hearing, but I'm going to stand in recess until September 21st, at 10 a.m., when we will find out where we are.

(Applause.)

COUNCILMAN COHEN: Yes?

MR. BUTCHER: I just wanted to say one last thing.

COUNCILMAN COHEN: Yes.

MR. BUTCHER: This is public access and it was not given to the public. See, you did not let the public hear us tonight. The only persons who heard us was the people here, so it should be on the -- you got two channels, and they didn't put it on, Dave. It's the same old thing, and that's why I'm frustrated.

(Adjourned at 6:07 p.m.)
